We have lots of areas where a non-selective herbicide can be used to good advantage. It sure beats stooping, digging, pulling – and bringing up more weed seeds to germination depth. I’ve used numerous commercial products based on acetic acid, cloves and who knows what else – and I hate to say, in a previous life I used Roundup.
I recently found a source for high strength vinegar – 20% acetic acid. I dilute this to 10% and have great success eliminating weeds throughout the growing season. It is not without danger, however…it can burn the eyes seriously and possibly the skin also. However, the environmental impact is reportedly far less than Roundup and other traditional herbicides.
