Marsh Marigold

This Marsh Marigold (Caltha Palustris) started blooming even before any other aquatic plants started growing. It certainly provides cheerful color to an otherwise drab early spring landscape. It will bloom throughout our spring and then again when cool fall weather arrives. It has performed so well since planting last spring, I’ve purchased and planted four more. Next year we’ll have quite an early spring display.
