Portfolio: Colorado![]() The owner of this new house in Longmont wanted a pond and waterfall in a private area of the backyard. The orientation of the house on this odd shaped lot provided this opportunity without additional fences or screens. The expansive clay soils of this region limit watering near the house, so drip irrigation will be used in limited planting areas near the foundation. ![]() ![]() This project was a challenge because the owners had not yet moved to the area (Littleton). Relying on photos, a site plan and lots of online and phone interaction, we were able to create this design with few revisions. The extremes of the Colorado climate require careful plant selection.

Working with Dan made the process of designing my landscaping fun and
enjoyable. He was very responsive to my requests and made changes quickly.
When we started I had vague ideas about what I wanted, but no idea where to
start. He was able to take all of my flights of fancy and turn them into a
cohesive design that is functional and looks wonderful as well!
